Summary: | Examines whether authoritarianism & closely related personality traits such as conformity & value orthodoxy predict police misconduct, drawing on scale, inventory, & self-report survey data from 99 US law enforcement officers who recorded acts of misconduct for which they had been disciplined. Stepwise regression revealed 13% of the variance was explained by the variables responsibility & organization. Authoritarianism & closely related variables were not predictors. 14 References.
