Summary: | Argentinian philosopher Oscar del Barco sent this letter to the editors of La intemperie in response to an interview with Hector Jouve (both published in Spanish in Oct & Nov 2004), in which Jouve, a former member of the People's Guerrilla Army (EGP), describes the murders of Adolfo Rotblat & Bernardo Groswald, accused of treason against their own comrades. Del Barco, also part of the radical left network trying to overthrow the brutal regime oppressing Argentina, expresses his sorrow over all the violence & deaths of that time. He assumes personal responsibility for those two in particular because of the role he played in the warfare, even though he did not even witness the murders. He now believes they were all murderers, explaining that, since that time, he has come to the moral position articulated in the commandment, "Thou shalt not kill.". J. Stanton |
