Summary:Bianchi’s procedure experience for short bowel syndrome in children is positive. This technique is generally performed after the first year of life. Here the authors propose a case of gastroschisis with prenatal spontaneous closure of abdominal defect and vanishing gut presenting as intestinal atresia, absence of ileo-cecal valve, and residual short intestinal dilatation, treated by early gut lengthening (ILP).
