Evidence of circulation of a Chinese strain of infectious bronchitis virus (QXIBV) in Italy

The other two IBV strains, isolated from two backyard flocks at the beginning of 2005, showed a high sequence homology (99 per cent) with the S1 amplified fragment of a Chinese strain ( QXIBV ) associated with nephritis in broilers in China ( Shengwang and Xiangang 2004 ).
