Summary: | Adoptive transfer of tumor-specific T-cells is an attractive strategy for the treatment of patients with refractory or relapsed Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, Hodgkin's lymphomas possess a range of tumor-evasion mechanisms, which must be overcome before the full potential of immunotherapies can be achieved. In this article, we discuss the promise of Epstein-Barr virus-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, the roles of cytokines, and other strategies for overcoming the immune-evasion mechanisms in Hodgkin's lymphoma. |
