Gold-Catalyzed Benzylic CH Activation at Room Temperature
A tale of the unexpected: Coordinating and potentially chelating groups allow gold‐catalyzed benzylic CH activation at room temperature. Substrates with additional nucleophilic substituents undergo unexpected dimerizations, in which eight new bonds are formed (see scheme).
