Summary:Metastases to the tonsillar fossa due to hematogenous dissemination is an extremely rare phenomenon associated with advanced-stage disease and poor prognosis. In the present report we describe a case of cutaneous melanoma with a metastasis to the tonsil approximately 4 years after the initial diagnosis of the primary disease treated with palliative radiation therapy.
