Summary: | A growing consensus of the need to lessen public skepticism and concern over research which conflicts with core human values and religious beliefs proves that scientists must engage more fully with the public about scientific issues and the concerns that society has about them. Scientific training programs should prepare graduates and postdoctoral fellows for public communications while support for scientists who are trying to provide outreach to the public should be implemented. |
