Summary: | In a 25-y-old hospitalized male, Coxiella burnetii pneumonia was confirmed serologically by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Previous treatment with oral azithromycin was unsuccessful. In hospital the patient was treated with oral moxifloxacin for 10 d and was completely cured. To our knowledge, this is the first clinical report of Q fever pneumonia treated with moxifloxacin. |
