Research in Developing Countries: Taking "Benefit" Seriously
Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences' (CIOMS) guidelines for the appropriate use of research subjects from LDCs in clinical trials are examined. Research subjects should not be drawn from populations that will not be able to benefit from the research.
