Influence of age on outcome after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty

This study estimates the influence of age on outcomes (mainly survival) of 21,516 patients who underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) between 1980 and 1996. We prospectively analyzed the patients in 5 age groups:
