Summary:Enzyme immunoassay showed that soluble Fas antigen is significantly more often detected in the serum of patients with oral lichen planus (72.5%) and oral squamous-cell cancer (75%) than in healthy postmenopausal women (36%). The level of soluble Fas antigen was significantly higher in patients with squamous-cell cancer and erosive ulcerative and exudative hyperemic lichen planus than in healthy women.
