Summary: | Peritoneal dialysis (PD) has been applied to patients with end-stage renal disease for more than 2 decades. It should raise physicians' concern about the serious complications of prolonged PD therapy, particularly encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS), the most potentially life-threatening one. The prevalence and mortality rate of EPS increase as PD duration increases. We report a case of EPS presented with blood-tinged effluents and abdominal pain. |
