Summary:A case study of an otherwise healthy 7-year-old African American girl diagnosed with idiopathic precocious puberty is presented. She was started on leuprolide, a gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) analog. At 6- and 12-month follow-up, the FSH and LH response to GnRH stimulation is suppressed and growth rate has decreased appropriately.
