In case of permanent catheterization no TIFP recovery was observed. After 24 h tumours were excised and stained against the proliferation marker Ki-67. While a singular puncture had no effect catheterized tumours showed a significant decrease in Ki-67 expression. Our data suggest that long-term lowering of TIFP is required to reduce tumour proliferation. |
