Summary:Most serial studies of patients with pulmonary stenosis (PS) concentrate on progression of severity with age, but some have demonstrated regression of severi ty. This latter trend is probably due to the introduction of echo-Doppler technology, because it is more difficult to justify repeat cardiac catheterization in patients with mild degrees of PS, but this is acceptable with a noninvasive technique.
