Breast-feeding Practices among Adolescent and Adult Mothers in the Missouri WIC Population

Advantages of breast-feeding are well documented, and medical and health professionals promote it as the optimal feeding method for the first 6 months of life. Studies show that few women, especially adolescent mothers, actually breastfeed their babies.
