Summary:Use of active immunization as a method for changing the activity of endogenous regulators is presently widely used for controlling a variety of body functions. We report here the first use of this method to suppress the activity of plasma amine oxidase activity to control memory functions. The aim of the present work was to study the effects of immunological suppression of plasma amine oxidase on a conditioned passive avoidance reaction as a model of memory.
