Summary: | The choice of anesthesia during thermal therapy of the prostate plays a significant role in the morbidity profile, patient convenience, and cost. We report 39 men with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia who underwent transurethral needle ablation of the prostate under transperineal prostatic block. This method of local anesthesia proved safe, convenient, and satisfactory during the procedure. |
