Nitrogenase Structure: Where to Now?

Nitrogenase is the only natural substance known to react with the major "inert" constituent of the atmosphere, nitrogen, at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. Major paradigm shifts in the fields of biological nitrogen and synthetic and mechanistic chemistry are examined.
