Summary:Summary Head and neck lumps are investigated with the aid of clinical examination, computed tomography and fine needle aspiration cytology. However, fine needle aspiration is theoretically associated with tumour seeding. We describe what we believe to be one of the first reported cases of fine needle aspiration associated tumour seeding of a malignant melanoma within the head and neck region.
