Summary:Seven Salvia species were investigated recently for their chemical and biological activities. Some terpenoidal compounds exhibited cardiovascular and antibacterial activities. A number of new diterpenoids were obtained and their structures were established through extensive spectral analysis. Cardioactive and antibacterial diterpenoids were isolated from seven Salvia species of Turkish origin.
