Transplantation of human malignant tumors to the athymic rat

Nineteen different human malignant tumors were transplanted to 50 congenitally athymic rats. Two tumors, a malignant melanoma and a rhabdomyosarcoma grew progressively, but permanently transplantable lines could not be established.
