Deposits of Amyloid (Beta) Protein in the Central Nervous System of Transgenic Mice

Alzheimer's disease is characterized by widespread deposition of amyloid in the central nervous system. Transgenic mice expressing amyloid beta protein in the brain could provide a model for Alzheimer's disease.
