Accuracy of Cloud Optical Depth Retrievals from Ground-Based Pyranometers
Errors in cloud optical depth retrieved from pyranometer irradiances are estimated using a fractal model of cloud inhomogeneity. The cloud field is constructed from a two-dimensional array of pixels.
