Summary:An analytic expression is proposed to calculate the effective reflectivity of the “transparent-cover-radiation-absorbing heat-exchange-panel” system of flat solar collectors, considering the reflectivity of the radiation-absorbing surface of the heat-exchange panel. A practical example is presented of the calculation of the effective reflectivity of this system with single-layer transparent cover as a function of the integral coefficient of total solar radiation reflection by the radiation-absorbing surface of the heat-exchange panel.
