Summary: | Over the past 15 years, Royal Home Fashions has expanded facilities every 3 years or so and added a new distribution center. There is no more space, so the latest expansion used a high-density dynamic storage system (HDDS). It has 3,000 pallet positions on 3 levels. The new HDDS system - LOGIX 4000 supplied by Interroll - resulted in substantial cost savings. At P.I. Inc., Phil Hebert added more than 1,000 pallet slots, consolidating two additional warehouses into the same space. Hebert and P.I. realized extra benefits through the re-racking process. One was the opportunity to redesign flow in the plant. Foreman Controls, another growing company, moved its offices off the floor to expand production space. W.A. Schmidt developed a mezzanine solution for Foreman Controls. |
