Summary: | Control of lightweight space structures composed of rigid and flexible elements (mixed structures) is nontrivial since the dimension of the configuration space far exceeds the available number of controls. Such structures are inherently nonlinear, operating over a wide dynamical regime requiring the use of nonlinear modeling and nonlinear control methods. The existence of control constraints like saturation further complicates matters and is in general difficult to analyze. In this paper, the authors study the stability of superarticulated mixed structures with control saturation. |
