Description
Summary:This study identifies the risk factors connected with the occurrence of sexual abuse and associated with the severity of sexual abuse, comparing the risk factors derived from U.S. and Taiwan studies. A sample of 2,178 college students was randomly selected from nine universities: 1,073 males, 1,074 females, and 31 who did not specify gender. The results show that the family interaction variables are good predictors for the occurrence of sexual abuse. However, the location, gender of the victim, age of the victim and the abuser, and the relationship of the abuser are found to be the risk factors associated with the severity of abuse.
