Description
Summary:Buckling and vibration of delaminated composite orthotropic beam-plates with multple delaminations have been studied using the reduced flexural stiffness method. Series solutions of the governing equation of motion and the Ritz method for beam-plates with both ends simply supported and clamped boundary conditions are discussed. Some typical multiple delaminations, such as overlapping and nonoverlapping delaminations, are considered. Numerical results based on both methods for simply supported boundary conditions are found to be identical. It is found that the method is effective in analyzing the buckling and vibration of beam-plates with multiple delaminations.
