Summary: | The case of an 80-year old woman with a recurrent leiomyoma arising in the gastroduodenal ligament is reviewed. To aid in the diagnosis, doctors employed a number of medical imaging techniques including sonography, computerized tomography, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticogram (ERCP). Histopathological examination confirmed diagnosis of a leiomyoma with no signs of malignancy. Despite benign pathologic and radiographic findings, recurrence, size of the tumor and non-resectability should be suggestive of a poor prognosis. |
