Summary: | Several complex organic molecules have been discovered in molecular clouds and star forming regions. We study the hydrodynamical and chemical evolutions of star forming regions simultaneously and find that very complex molecules can indeed be formed during the collapse of the molecular clouds. We include the grain chemistry to produce simpler molecules on grain surfaces and use them to produce even more complex molecules in the gas phase. In this context, we briefly discuss the role of the environment in the galaxy and the effects of gamma rays on the question of origin and evolution of biotic molecules in general and life in particular. |
