Synthesis of Alkali Metal Carboxylates and Carboxylic Acids Using “Wet” and “Anhydrous” Alkali Metal Hydroxides
A comparison of reagents for the transfer of hydroxyl ions is presented. Among the hydroxides examined, anhydrous potassium hydroxide is found to be the most reactive.
