Description
Summary:The available real-time rate control algorithms for real-time encoders are usually designed under stringent restrictions in terms of computational complexity. Therefore, the involvement of computationally complex algorithms to improve the encoding quality is generally unacceptable in these cases. In the present paper, we modify one efficient algorithm for rate control, thus allowing one to improve the visual quality of encoding. This approach does not call for additional significant computational resources, and, hence, it may be useful in real-time encoders.
