Description
Summary:Flower-like CdS nanostructures were successfully synthesized by a simple chemical bath deposition and wet chemical etching method. The synthesis process does not require any surfactant, template or sophisticated equipment. The crystal structure, optical property and morphologies of final products were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), UV–vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar cells using flower-like CdS photoelectrode in a polysulphide electrolyte is constructed and I– V characteristics under applied bias and photovoltaic output characteristics are studied. Various PEC cell parameters are evaluated and the results are discussed.
