Summary:OBJECTIVE It is widely accepted individuals with metabolic syndrome presented an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. However the precise mechanisms underlying this association are not completely understood. Hyperhomocysteinemia has been described as a significant and independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The present study was designed to determine the influence of regular exercise on homocysteinemia in adults with metabolic syndrome.
