Summary: | In order to be responsive to the continuing education needs of nurses in rural Maine, a comprehensive formative evaluation process was developed. This process included a review of the literature, statwide nurse consumer and employer surveys, and a statewide advisory committee. This ongoing process led to the development of an interactive audio teleconference network capable of delivering quality continuing education courses to nurses throughout the state at, or near, the nurse's employment setting at low cost. |
