Summary: | A 77-year-old man, diagnosed as having prostate adenocarcinoma, was admitted to the hospital for therapy. Prior to the therapy, the patient underwent abdominal ultrasound for the evaluation of liver metastasis. However, the liver was obscured with high-density shadows suggesting intestinal structures. For further evaluation, colloid liver-spleen scintigraphy was performed and a large photon-deficient area was found in the anterior portion of right hepatic lobe. An abdominal CT scan performed to determine the nature of the lesion revealed Chilaiditiʼs syndrome. |
