Scurvy occurring in a teenager

Summary Scurvy is now an uncommon condition in the western world. We report a case of scurvy in a 14‐year‐old female with an inadequate diet who developed a purpuric rash affecting her trunk and legs. The rash resolved dramatically with ascorbic acid therapy.
