Case-Control Study on Fecapentaene Excretion and Adenomatous Polyps in the Colon and Rectum

Fecapentaenes, a group of unsaturated ether-linked lipids present in human feces, have been shown to be potent mutagens in various in vitro test systems. Research in this area is discussed.
