Prevalence of Hepatitis B-Associated Delta Agent Among Mentally Retarded Carriers of HBsAg

This study was undertaken to determine the prevalence of infection with delta agent and to evaluate its role in the causation of liver disease in HBsAg carriers in an institution for the mentally retarded in Southern California.
