A medical-social intervention in a 70-year-old Swedish population: is it possible to postpone functional decline in aging?

The preliminary results from an intervention study of an elderly group in Gothenburg Sweden which demonstrated the possiblity that functional decline caused by the aging process could be postponed are presented and discussed.
