Summary:Laboratory tests showed an increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate (91 mm/h) and C-reactive protein concentration (11.9 mg/dL), and mild normochromic normocytic anaemia. Positron emission tomography, renal magnetic resonance angiography (to look for microaneurysms), repeat blood and urine culture, 24 h urine analysis, and echocardiography were all normal.
