Description
Summary:Abstract Combined kidney-liver transplantation is currently the best therapeutic option for patients with end-stage kidney and liver disease. We present our experience of kidney-liver transplantation in a series of 13 patients. The most frequent indications were familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP) and polycystosis of the liver and kidney. The 1- and 5-year survival rates of the liver grafts were 75% and 67%, respectively, with no kidney losses during follow-up.
