Summary: | Tc-99m MDP bone scan was performed in a patient with metastatic osteosarcoma. Radionuclide uptake was present not only on the primary tumor but also in the thoracic area where metastatic deposits could be determined. The authors believe bone scan is an essential tool for initial evaluation of patients with osteosarcoma, a very helpful method for the patients survey, and a means of appreciating the evolution of the lung metastases and their response to therapy. |
