Description
Summary:The morphology of a Sertoli‐cell adenoma by light and electron microscopy is described and compared with that of normal Sertoli cells. Electronmicroscopically, the normal and neoplastic cells are similar. They both contain characteristically abundant smooth endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria with horizontal cristae. The authors again emphasize that the precise diagnosis of Sertoli‐cell adenomas is imperative because prognosis is good in comparison with that for most other testicular tumors.
