Description
Summary:Neuropeptide Y (NPY) has recently been found to be localized together with catecholamines both in sympathetic nerve terminals and the adrenal medulla of man. In the present study the authors tried to obtain evidence for co-release of NPY in relation to catecholamines (CA) underphysiological stress in man. Therefore, the plasma levels of NPY and CA were determined in newborn infants, who after natural birth have remarkably high CA levels.
