Summary: | High‐level heterologous expression of integral membrane proteins at full‐length is a useful tool for their structural and functional characterization. Here, systems that have previously been used for efficient bacterial expression of eukaryotic membrane proteins are reviewed and novel vectors consisting of a modular fusion moiety based on nuclease A from Staphylococcus aureus are presented. |
