Summary: | Our results suggest that the use of intravenous adenosine for termination of maternal SVT during the second and third trimester of pregnancy is safe and effective. The development of fetal bradycardia following administration of multiple antiarrhythmic drugs emphasizes the importance of fetal heart rate monitoring during acute antiarrhythmic therapy. Further study is necessary to determine the safety of adenosine use during the first trimester of pregnancy. |
