Summary:An inverse association between vitamin C intake and gastric cancer risk was investigated, focusing on the change of ascorbic acid concentration in gastric juice following an intravenous vitamin C injection. Results indicate no significant association between Helicobacter pylori status and the observed change in ascorbic acid concentration in gastric juice in either blacks or whites.
